Single Season records added

I briefly mentioned in my last post that Google has begun indexing Brewer Leaders and I couldn't be happier for that. I checked my Google Analytics tool for the site and noticed that people have started trickling in from searches. One that really caught my attention was someone looking for the season leaders for Home Runs. This was something that I didn't originally think of since all I was ever interested in was all-time leaders, but obviously someone is interested in the seasons and who am I to say that it shouldn't have a place at Brewer Leaders.

I have all the data so it was very simple for me to add Season Leaderboards. I could have easily added all the categories that I track since I don't go through all the hassle of tracking individual movements, but I think I'm going to add a new Season Leaderboard when I add a new all-time Leaderboard (I probably will add one tonight since it's been a while) just so that the data is mirrored.

And because it's a quasi-tradition, here's some observations:

Hits: 200 hits has only been achieved 6 times for the Brewers, with only 3 players, and it hasn't happened since 1991 when Molitor was still with the team. Ryan Braun is leading the team in hits so far, and if he plays the remaining games he's only on pace to get 189 hits. Maybe one of these years, we'll have another 200 hitter.
Home Runs: No real surprise here for me, since last year Home Runs were talked about a lot during Prince Fielder's run to the record.
Runs Batted In: 126 is the most in a season!? Considering Josh Hamilton already has 95, it really shows how inconsistent RBIs are since you'll never know if you're going to hit in front of someone.
Strike Outs: Ben Sheets at the top during his amazing 2004 campaign. If he could have gotten better run support to notch a few more wins, he should have gotten the NL Cy Young, but the team sucked back then. It is surprising to me that his name isn't plastered near the top. His next best season was 170 good for 10th place. I suppose he was injured for a few seasons, and lately he has been pitching to contact more than trying to strike out everyone.
