Dev Summary for July 9, 2008
Another day, another session of coding, and we've got more progress at Brewer Leaders. I still need to get a lot of the back-end blog things done, but if I don't end a session with noticeable progress then I'm more likely to quit. But let's summarize!
- Hits Leaderboard: Because of the way I'm handling the leaderboards, it takes more time up front to set it up. I'm doing this, because once the boards are set up, it'll require zero work from me. I'm getting better at setting it up, so we now have 3 boards. Of the stats that I'm tracking, I just need to set up 25 more boards.
- Player Pages: The boards link to a player page and up until earlier this night, the links were broken. They're no longer broken, but all they say is the player's name. They will show all their lines from each year and their position on each board, even if they're not on the board.
- Monthly Archives: The monthly archives pages now work. They will only show the first paragraph of each story, but it's a way to go back and see all the older posts.
That's where I called it quits for the night. I'm planning on adding one more board, category archives, and I want to get the edit posts working on the backend.
